Qatari, Turkish troops will not be allowed on Gaza committee: Netanyahu Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday (January 19) that Turkish and Qatari forces will not set foot in Gaza. Therefore, the two countries will have “no authority or influence” in the various bodies set up by US President Donald Trump’s administration to manage post-war Gaza, he added. In fact, the US decision to include senior representatives from both countries on the committee known as the “Gaza Executive Board” means that they will participate in overseeing the Strip. Before the US announcement, Netanyahu’s office repeatedly stressed that Israel would not allow Turkey or Qatar to establish a presence in Gaza after the war.
